Salary: Up to £50,000 (Depending on Experience)

Job Overview:

We are looking for a Product Design Engineer to join a multidisciplinary R&D team, dedicated to developing and optimising injection-moulded components and assemblies for a variety of products and projects.

Our client is one of the world's largest manufacturers of identification and tracking systems, including electronic tags and RFID readers.

In this role, you'll design plastic parts for manufacture, conduct simulations and FEA, and lead material selection and validation, applying strong expertise in plastic materials and performance.

Key Skills & Experience Required:
  • Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies using 3D CAD
  • Experience designing parts for manufacture using Plastic Injection Moulding
  • Familiarity with simulation or FEA tools
  • Experience supporting testing and validation of components or assemblies
  • Degree (or equivalent experience) in Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering, Plastics Engineering, or a related discipline
