Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking a Procurement Manager for a hybrid role based in Flintshire. The ideal candidate will oversee the procurement process, ensuring compliance with public sector regulations. Responsibilities include developing commercial strategy plans and presenting recommendations to senior leadership. Prior experience in stakeholder engagement and knowledge of ERP systems like SAP or Oracle is essential. This position starts with an initial 3-month contract, with potential for extension.

Qualifications

  • Experience in managing the end-to-end procurement process from pre sourcing to contract management.
  • Experience working within the public sector with public sector regulations (eg PCR 2015, UCR 2016, PA 2023).
  • Experience in stakeholder and supplier engagement and building positive working relationships.
  • Knowledge of ERP Systems (eg SAP or Oracle).

Summer-Browning Associates is currently supporting our defence client, who is seeking a Procurement Manager for an initial 3-month assignment with the option to extend.

Location: Hybrid working - Flintshire

About the role: You will be responsible for determining the appropriate commercial strategy for project requirements. Drafting the strategy plans, commercial management plans and facilitating/delivering it or making recommendations for action to Senior Leadership, ensuring all contracts adhere to procurement regulations and Government policy.
