Overview

Procurement Manager

Location : Birmingham (2 days per week onsite)

Salary : £65k per annum

Duration : Temporary (2-year FTC)

One of our leading public sector clients is seeking a skilled and experienced Procurement Manager to join their team on a 2-year fixed-term contract. This role offers an excellent opportunity to manage end-to-end procurement activities, ensuring compliance with public sector regulations and driving cost efficiency.

Responsibilities
  • Implement procurement best practices and deliver high-quality procurement services
  • Manage end-to-end procurements via Framework Agreements and Find A Tender (where applicable)
  • Oversee a range of procurement and contract-related activities, including change control and termination notices
  • Identify and deliver cost savings and process efficiencies
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to manage procurement requirements
  • Work with external suppliers to gather quotations, proposals, and other relevant information
  • Maintain and update the Contracts Database and manage MI reporting
  • Coordinate and manage the tender process, including document preparation, evaluation criteria, and outcome communication
  • Support the Head of Procurement & Contracts in strategic procurement objectives
