Role Purpose

In this role, you will support the Head of Procurement in delivering City Football Group’s procurement strategy and activities. You will be responsible for sourcing, supplier selection, supplier management, and contract negotiations to drive cost efficiency, compliance, and strategic alignment with business objectives. You will also build strong relationships with budget holders across the organisation, providing insightful analysis to enable informed decision-making.

Your Impact
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the business to deliver cost reductions through efficient and economic procurement of goods and services, using tender processes, e-sourcing platforms and effective contract negotiations.
  • Act as a proactive, highly visible member of the Procurement Team, consistently adding value and contributing to a high-performing, well-regarded function within the wider business.
  • Analyse spending data, categories and trends to identify opportunities for structural cost reductions, during annual budget setting and ongoing throughout the year.
  • Support the Head of Procurement in ensuring procurement policies, processes and systems remain robust, effective and aligned to business needs.
  • Monitor market trends, pricing movements and wider economic factors, providing insight and strategic recommendations to inform procurement decisions.
What we are looking for
Essential
  • Strong interest in procurement and the finance function of a global business with a desire to collaborate with departments across the business.
  • Degree level education / A-level education (or equivalent).
  • Experience of interpreting and analysing data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
  • Confident in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint and Teams.
Desirable
  • Experience working in a professional environment and / or procurement role.
  • Relevant professional qualifications.
