Job description

We are currently recruiting Tenancy Relations Officers to join a local Authority, within the Private Sector Housing Team on an interim basis.

This is a key opportunity to lead on the delivery and enforcement of new duties introduced under the Renters’ Rights Act. You will be part of the Tenancy Relations Officer unit, oversee complex investigations and enforcement action, and act as the technical lead on tenancy law to protect residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • You will be required to oversee and investigate complaints under the Protection from Eviction Act and the Renters’ Rights Act
  • You will need to use enforcement where applicable, including prosecutions, civil penalties, and court proceedings
  • Be able to provide tenancy law and advice
Requirements
  • Proven knowledge of landlord and tenant law
  • Proven experience in tenancy investigation and enforcement.
  • Proven ability to operate effectively in high-risk environments with sound health & safety awareness
Qualifications & Experience
  • Proven professional training in tenancy relations and housing law
  • Proven CPD.
