Overview

About the Private Equity Investment Analyst role

We have an exciting opportunity within our Private Equity Investment team. Goodbody Capital Partners is an active Irish focused Private Equity Investment Manager, investing both into funds that are active in Ireland and directly into Irish growth companies.

Responsibilities
  • Complete initial investment review and screening of potential investment opportunities
  • Support other members of the team, primarily but not exclusively through financial analysis
  • Undertake extensive financial modelling to support potential investments
  • Assist in preparation and presentation of potential investments
  • Participate in execution and negotiation of new investments
  • Provide ongoing monitoring of the investments
  • Help build relationships with intermediaries, third party funds, investors and investee companies
  • Assist in the recording and reporting of the investments
  • Be a collaborative and positive team player
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree: Degree in business, finance or accounting or CFA/ ACA/ACCA is preferred.
  • Knowledge of investment principles, accounting and tax
  • 2+ years of transaction experience in an investment, corporate development or corporate finance environment
  • Demonstrate superior numerical and financial skills and a strong understanding of financial statements
  • Excellent commercial awareness and project management skills
