Private Client Solicitor | Leadership Role | 6PQE+ | £55k–£70k | Cheltenham (Hybrid) | HNW Matters

I’ve already placed two solicitors with this firm in 2025, and I’m excited to be recruiting again – this time for a senior role in their respected Private Client team.

This is a well-established regional firm, generating over £7m annually and punching well above its weight. The Private Client team has an excellent reputation for high-quality advice and long-term client care.

Responsibilities
  • Handle a broad and rewarding caseload including Wills, LPAs, Trusts
  • Probate & Estate Administration
  • Inheritance Tax Planning
  • Court of Protection
  • Exposure to HNW and complex estates (business assets, cross-border work)
  • Mentor junior lawyers and work closely with directors on high-value estates
  • Help shape the department’s future and contribute to leadership initiatives
People and Environment

The team includes two experienced directors, talented solicitors, trainees and apprentices, plus strong admin support. It’s a close-knit group with a great mix of collaboration and autonomy.

Progression

As a senior solicitor, you’ll mentor junior lawyers, work closely with directors on high-value estates, and help shape the department’s future. The firm is particularly interested in candidates who have experience managing or leading a team or department, with opportunities to step into a leadership role. Progression here is genuine. The firm has a strong track record of promoting from within, and partnership is achievable with mentoring and visibility.
