Overview

His Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service invites applications for Prison Officer positions at HMP The Mount. Salary is £35,746 – £40,003 per annum.

Responsibilities
  • Protect the public and make a positive impact on people’s lives.
  • Maintain safety and security across the prison environment.
  • Build constructive, positive and professional relationships with offenders.
  • Work directly with prisoners as a peacekeeper, counsellor or teacher, adapting to the needs of the day.
  • Collaborate as a team with colleagues to keep the prison, offenders and staff safe.
  • Operate shifts, including weekends, as required.
