Salary: £37,246 - £41,503 per annum

Overview

Prison officers protect the public and help to make a positive impact on people’s lives. This fast‑paced role offers variety and the chance to develop a successful career. You will work various shifts, including weekends.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain prison security and protect the public.
  • Build constructive, positive and professional relationships with offenders.
  • Act as a peacekeeper, counsellor or teacher as required.
  • Support colleagues and work effectively as part of a team to keep the prison, offenders and everyone safe.
  • Deliver training and learn multiple roles in a single day.
