Finishing Stitching Operator - Permanent Role

Location: Chesterfield

Hours: Monday to Friday - Morning Shift

Thorn Baker are recruiting for an experienced Print Finishing Operator to join a well-established and growing print production business. This is a permanent opportunity offering stable hours, a competitive salary and the chance to work with high-quality machinery in a professional manufacturing environment.

The Print Finishing Operator role

You will be responsible for operating a Horizon Mk3 Stitchliner and supporting the wider print finishing process to ensure all finished products meet strict quality and productivity standards.

Key responsibilities include

• Operating and setting up the Horizon Mk3 Stitchliner
• Monitoring quality and carrying out quality checks throughout production
• Ensuring smooth workflow and meeting daily production targets
• Identifying and resolving basic machine faults
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working area
• Working closely with the production team to meet deadlines

The ideal candidate will have

• Previous experience in print finishing is essential
• Experience operating stitchers / booklet makers (Horizon preferred)
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Basic mechanical aptitude and confidence working with machinery
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment
• Good organisational skills and ability to follow instructions
