We specialise in all aspects of process engineering, within the Water Sector this includes water, waste water and bioresources treatment, both in the UK and internationally. Process Engineering project opportunities also stretch to other sectors such as nuclear and defence. We provide industry‑leading engineering solutions right through the project lifecycle from feasibility to process commissioning, with value added through client‑side support as well as construction phases.

Bring your skills to the mix as a Principal Waste Water Process Engineer. You'll play a vital role in a broad range of process engineering on traditional and transformational programmes for critical UK infrastructure, with opportunities to work on iconic engineering projects at home and abroad. Your role
  • Lead a team to undertake technical design work, following relevant design standards and codes, and to high‑quality levels.
  • Work closely with and within teams in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions.
  • Adhere to quality assurance standards in design.
  • Prepare briefs, scopes of work, and input into bid proposals.
  • Alongside project managers, successfully manage time and budgets to key project milestones and programmes.
About you
  • Chartered Chemical / Process Engineer (preferably IChemE or CIWEM).
  • Experience in leading design elements in project design delivery, including multidisciplinary design.
  • Fundamental knowledge, understanding and experience of integrated waste water and/or bioresources treatment processes.
  • Design optimisation and/or operational experience of main process unit operations.
  • Detail design experience of integrated waste water and/or bioresources treatment processes, e.g. preliminary / primary / secondary / tertiary treatment, bioresource treatment and - disposal, odour - and energy management.
  • Experience of design and delivery of projects with adherence to UK safety and environmental regulations, process safety techniques (e.g. HAZOP / DSEAR), knowledge of capital and operational costs - and risk assessments, as well as whole life carbon assessments.
  • Awareness of process modelling techniques and software, e.g. BioWIn, SUMO, Simba, etc.
