Overview

Principal Commercial Contracts Solicitor

Rate: £££ Very competitive

Location: West Midlands

Working: Predominantly remotely

Sellick Partnership is recruiting for a Principal Commercial Contracts Solicitor (or equivalent) to join a local authority based in the West Midlands. The role is to line manage a sizable team of lawyers, all of whom are dedicated to contracts work. As the Principal Commercial Contracts Solicitor you will lead a team of 7 lawyers, including 1 to 1s, case allocation and addressing any training needs.

Responsibilities
  • Experience of high-value contracts - reviewing, amending and drafting
  • Dealing with internal stakeholders and external clients
  • Must be able to deal with hurdles in a diplomatic way
  • Working on standard contracts for goods and services
  • Advising on new procurement legislation
  • Advising on contract interpretation and dispute resolution
  • Candidates must have previous experience as a Team Lead or Principal. This is a large team and needs an experienced manager at the helm.
