We are seeking an experienced Security Certification Engineer to join our Cambridge, UK team.

Position Overview:

The Principal Security Certification Engineer will be a key member of the Security Office, acting as a subject matter expert in security certifications. They will lead efforts to attain regional certification of nShield HSM-based products and provide security compliance guidance across product lifecycle stages.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the certification processes for FIPS 140-2, Common Criteria, and regional standards for new and existing products, ensuring timely and cost-effective certification.
  • Collaborate on product specifications, designs, and testing to ensure security and certification requirements are integrated throughout development.
  • Mentor development teams on creating designs that are certifiable under FIPS 140-2 and CC standards.
  • Engage with standards bodies and stay updated on emerging security standards relevant to the business.

Technical Knowledge/Skills & Experience Required:

  • Experience with security certifications such as FIPS 140-2, Common Criteria, and PCI, gained in evaluation labs or product development roles.
  • Understanding of modern product release practices, including SCRUM and Agile methodologies.
  • Broad knowledge of hardware, software, and system engineering practices; practical product development experience is a plus.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

Qualifications:

BSc in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience is required.
