Position: Principal Salesforce Engineer

Location: Leeds, Bristol, Bournemouth, Tunbridge Wells, Middlesbrough - hybrid

Salary: £100,000 to £110,000 (DOE) + bonus and excellent benefits

Summary

You will lead engineering teams to design and deliver enterprise-scale Salesforce solutions, integrated with .NET and Azure platforms, supporting business-critical systems and improving customer experience.

Principal Salesforce Engineer Responsibilities

• Lead Salesforce-focused product engineering teams, driving delivery of transformation projects
• Provide technical direction, hands-on code reviews, and enforce engineering best practice
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and business stakeholders to ensure outcomes meet business needs
• Shape and deliver engineering strategy as part of the leadership team
• Evaluate emerging Salesforce technologies and wider solutions for enterprise adoption
• Ensure systems meet performance, scalability, security, and regulatory requirements

Principal Salesforce Engineer Requirements

• Proven experience leading Salesforce engineering teams within large enterprises
• Strong expertise across the Salesforce ecosystem, including integration with multiple platforms
• Experience with Azure, .NET services, ADO pipelines, and React applications advantageous
• Ability to align technical delivery with business strategy and manage senior stakeholders
• Financial services or insurance sector experience desirable
• Strong knowledge of Agile practices and modern software engineering principles
