Overview

Principal Ecologist (Construction/land Management) – Bristol

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 + Flexitime + Hybrid Working + Unlimited Training budget + Company Bonuses + Relocation Package

We are a small, tight-knit team with 60 years of experience advising solutions to private landowners, conservation NGOs, and a range of other clients. The company is a leading specialist ecological consultancy with a strong, deep-rooted client base.

Role focus: Lead ecological assessments and provide required solutions across a range of projects related to habitat and botanical regulations. You will oversee survey design, licensing, and mitigation strategies for protected species. This includes undertaking fieldwork and supporting directors to develop and implement strategies.

This role would suit an ecologist with consultancy experience, strong communication skills, and a passion for ecology who is eager to develop further. You will lead client-facing work as the main point of contact for clients and will mentor and manage ecologists and development teams.
