Job description
Description

Were seeking a Principal Consultant - Data Visualisation Lead for our Consultancy Business

Who are we seeking

Crucially we will prioritize and are ideally seeking those from the following industries :

Telco Financial Services (ideally insurance banking and pensions) and Healthcare and / or Life Sciences.

The Role

To achieve our ambitions were looking to hire a Principal Visualisation Lead to lead and elevate our Data Visualisation practice. Are you ready to shape the future of our visualisation capability while staying hands‑on with client delivery?

As our Principal Visualisation Lead you’ll split your time between strategic leadership and people development and hands‑on client delivery. You’ll work directly with our Director of Data Enablement to define and drive our visualisation practice direction whilst genuinely caring for and developing a distributed team of visualisation consultants across onshore, nearshore and offshore locations.

You’ll be part of the design authority for visualisation across our consultancy – setting the standard for visual design principles, dashboard architecture and best practices. You’ll lead discovery workshops and demonstrations, define end‑to‑end reporting strategies for clients and ensure our team delivers exceptional insight‑driven solutions that integrate seamlessly with broader data solutions. You’ll have the vision to design not just individual dashboards but comprehensive reporting suites that serve entire organisations – from regulatory compliance through to C‑Suite decision‑making and down to operational execution.

You should have deep expertise in Power BI and Tableau, appreciate how visualisation fits within the broader data architecture and solution landscape and thrive on building team capability whilst solving complex data storytelling challenges. You’ll have a forward‑thinking vision of where visualisation and insight generation is heading – understanding that the landscape is evolving beyond traditional dashboards.

You will :

Strategic Leadership & People Development
  • Lead care for and genuinely develop visualisation consultants across onshore, nearshore and offshore locations – understanding that our people are our consultancy’s product
  • Define and evolve the visualisation practice capability, identifying commercial proposition opportunities and driving meaningful skill or material building
  • Shape the team’s technical roadmap ensuring we stay at the forefront of visualisation innovation
  • Act as a senior voice within the consultancy influencing how visualisation integrates with our broader service offerings
Client Delivery & Technical Leadership
  • Lead the design and architecture of enterprise‑wide reporting solutions that serve diverse stakeholder needs across organisations
  • Lead visualisation adoption initiatives – guiding senior leaders and organisations through the transformation from traditional reporting to modern insight‑driven approaches
  • Drive the evolution of insight delivery – introducing predictive analytics and next‑generation insight patterns beyond traditional dashboards
  • Hands‑on development of advanced dashboards leveraging complex calculations, data modelling and performance optimisation
  • Partner with data architects, engineers and analytics teams to design effective semantic layers, aggregation strategies and integration patterns
  • Lead pre‑sales technical discovery and contribute to proposals for visualisation engagements
A bit about you

Being a consultant at Intuita means something a little different to being a consultant elsewhere. We like to hire like‑minded people. We see ourselves as trusted partners to our clients and believe in transparency, quality and integrity above all else, always pushing to deliver the best outcomes for our clients. We value collaboration and teamwork, working together to solve problems and share learnings.

As a Principal Visualisation Lead you’ll share these values but also bring your own personality and approach to the role. We’re looking for someone who will be working hands‑on client‑facing with the following experience and qualities.

Technical Expertise
  • 7 years of experience with Power BI and/or Tableau with expert‑level proficiency in at least one platform but ideally experience managing teams who have operated with both
  • Experience designing comprehensive reporting suites – not just individual dashboards but cohesive systems that serve whole companies
  • Deep expertise in data modelling for visualisation (star schemas, aggregation layers, semantic models, dimensional modelling)
Leadership & People Development
  • Experience managing high‑calibre senior developers – not just mentoring junior talent but leading challenging and developing experienced visualisation professionals
  • Experience building and developing distributed teams across multiple locations and skill levels
  • Ability to have difficult conversations, provide constructive feedback and champion your team’s success
Required Characteristics
  • Genuinely passionate about people development – you care deeply about growing your team and understand that developing people is developing your consultancy’s most valuable asset
  • Champion of visualisation adoption – skilled at bringing senior leaders along the journey, building buy‑in and demonstrating value
  • Enterprise mindset – thinks in terms of complete reporting ecosystems serving whole organisations, not just individual dashboard projects
  • Strategic thinker – sees the big picture of how visualisation fits within data transformation while maintaining attention to detail

If you don’t fit the above criteria exactly but are interested in working for us, get in touch anyway! We hire people not job specs!

Location: All our office locations considered – Newbury & Liverpool (UK); Šibenik Croatia
