Job summary

A leading engineering firm is seeking a Senior Civil / Structural Engineer for a 9-month hybrid role in the UK. You will work on diverse rail infrastructure projects including stations and bridges, utilizing strong design skills and engineering expertise. Candidates should possess Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status or be actively working toward it, along with experience in mentoring technicians and preparing design packages. This position offers competitive compensation and flexibility in location.

Qualifications

  • Experience as (or working towards becoming) a Contractor's Responsible Engineer.
  • Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status, or actively working toward it (ICE or IStructE).

Responsibilities

  • Support on a wide variety of rail infrastructure projects including stations, platforms, footbridges, and car parks.
  • Mentor and support technicians in engineering projects.

Skills

Strong technical design skills in civil and/or structural engineering
Ability to find practical and creative engineering solutions
Experience preparing and checking design packages on Network Rail projects
Knowledge of NR standards and multidisciplinary interfaces
Experience mentoring and supporting technicians
Hands-on experience with relevant design software (e.g., Tekla, Microstation or CAD)

Senior Civil / Structural Engineer (Rail) | 9 Months Outside IR35 | Hybrid London, Liverpool, Manchester

I am looking for a Senior / Principal Civil / Structural Engineer to support on a wide variety of rail infrastructure projects including stations, platforms, Access for All footbridges, car parks and multidisciplinary framework works.

Expereince :
  • Strong technical design skills in civil and / or structural engineering
  • Ability to find practical and creative engineering solutions
  • Experience preparing and checking design packages on Network Rail projects
  • Knowledge of NR standards and multidisciplinary interfaces
  • Experience as (or working towards becoming) a Contractor's Responsible Engineer
