A growing Heritage and Archaeological consultancy in the Greater Leeds Area is seeking a Principal / Associate Archaeological Consultant. This role involves supporting project management, overseeing report production, and liaising with clients. Ideal for those with significant experience in archaeology and a track record in consultancy. A relevant degree and Chartered Institute for Archaeologists membership are preferred. Flexible working arrangements are available.

£45-60k DOE
Forming part of the senior Archaeology Leadership Team working alongside the Director, this role is a key development of a small’ish but growing Heritage and Archaeological consultancy.
Initially working remotely from the main office and team, this role provides the opportunity to eventually develop into a new office and team, increasing the company scope.
This role will be suitable for an existing Principal or Associate or could be a good Senior seeking the next step.
A strong technical knowledge base, commercial mindset, communication and teamwork, leadership, empathy, work ethic, excellent understanding of Health & Safety responsibilities and of the UK planning system, excellent writing skills, time management, ability to critique and review colleague’s writing and provide suitable feedback.
A relevant undergraduate degree (Archaeology, History, etc.); postgraduate degrees welcomed but not required.
Chartered Institute for Archaeologists Membership Level : ACIfA or preferably MCIfA.
Full clean UK driving licence
