Overview

We are looking for a versatile, resilient and committed Teaching Assistant who can adapt their practice to support across all key stages. The successful candidate will work alongside the class teacher, assisting the children with their work and supporting pupil behaviour while establishing good relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and responding to individual needs. The role can be full or part time in a primary school in Lincoln, with openings to join our Trainee Teaching Assistant programme to build experience in a primary school setting without prior experience.

This role starts in September and is ongoing. Previous experience for this role is essential, and EYFS experience is preferable but not essential.

Responsibilities
  • Work alongside the class teacher, assisting children with their work and supporting pupil behaviour.
  • Establish good relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and responding to individual needs.
  • Support across all key stages, adapting practice as necessary.
Requirements / Qualifications
  • Have recent experience supporting children aged 5-11 or EYFS experience.
  • Have a good understanding of how children learn and develop.
  • Have previous experience of working with children or young people; ideally within a school, nursery, childcare, youth work, play or care setting within the last 2 years, with the ability to obtain valid references from these roles.
  • A passion for education.
