Roles & Responsibilities:

The Class Teacher will be responsible for:

  • Curriculum Design: Plan and deliver creative, differentiated lessons in line with the National Curriculum, ensuring progression and challenge for all pupils.

  • Data Analysis: Utilise robust formative and summative assessment strategies to analyse pupil data, identify intervention needs, and track performance against school targets.

  • Subject Leadership: Take responsibility for leading and developing a curriculum area (e.g., Science, PE, or Humanities) across the school, providing staff guidance.

  • Welfare & Safeguarding: Act as a dedicated mentor and class tutor, fully adhering to all school policies concerning child protection and pupil welfare.

  • Parent Communication: Lead structured parent consultation evenings and maintain proactive, professional communication with families regarding pupil progress and well-being.

  • Professional Growth: Actively participate in mentoring, peer observation, and continuous professional development (CPD) sessions to enhance classroom practice.

School Requirements

The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:

  • Certification: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is mandatory.

  • Experience: Proven, successful experience teaching a class within Key Stage 2 in a UK primary school setting.

  • Skills: Demonstrated ability to manage behaviour effectively and create a productive, inspiring learning atmosphere.

  • Knowledge: Expertise in using digital tools and ICT to enhance learning delivery and engagement.
