Overview

Job Title: Primary Teacher

Role Purpose: Join a vibrant primary school in Preston where you will provide high-quality teaching and learning across the primary phase, fostering a stimulating, inclusive, and safe environment to support pupils in achieving their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons in line with the National Curriculum
  • Plan and adapt lessons to support mixed abilities, including pupils with SEND, EAL, and higher-ability learners
  • Monitor, assess, and track pupil progress using formative and summative assessment methods
  • Foster positive attitudes, behavior, and personal development through effective classroom management
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues to support holistic learning and wellbeing
  • Contribute to extracurricular activities, assemblies, and whole-school initiatives
  • Actively participate in staff meetings, professional development, and collaborative planning
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding and child protection responsibilities
Skills and Attributes
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong knowledge of the primary curriculum
  • Ability to deliver creative and differentiated lessons to challenge and support all learners
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Resilience, flexibility, and enthusiasm for supporting children's educational journey
  • Desirable: experience in a specific Key Stage (EYFS, KS1, or KS2), knowledge of current teaching strategies, phonics programs, and assessment methods, experience in delivering interventions or supporting children with additional needs

Salary/ Pay Rate: Dependent on experience
