SEN Teacher (Primary)   Preston

Pay: £170 - £230 per day (depending on experience and/or qualifications)

Contract: Full-time, long term, on-going position

Start Date: January 2026

Vision for Education is proud to be working in partnership with a forward-thinking, nurturing SEN School in Colne to recruit a dedicated and passionate SEN Teacher with Primary specialism.

About the Role:

As an SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, personalised education to students with complex learning needs, including autism and challenging behaviours. You will be instrumental in shaping a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that promotes growth, engagement, and success for each young person.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, deliver and assess lessons tailored to individual student needs.
  • Develop and implement EHCPs and Behaviour Support Plans.
  • Collaborate with Learning Support Assistants, therapists, and care staff to ensure a consistent, multi-professional approach.
  • Foster a safe, respectful and nurturing classroom environment.
  • Communicate regularly with families, carers, and external professionals.
  • Promote students' social, emotional, and academic development in line with the School Development Plan and regulatory standards.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching students with SEND, particularly autism and/or SEMH
  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills
  • A compassionate, empathetic, and student-centred approach
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Ability to adapt teaching to suit individual learning styles and EHCP targets
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare
