Primary SEN Teacher – Autism (ASC Unit)

Location: Wythenshawe, Manchester
Salary: MPS – Paid to Scale from Day One
Contract: Temporary to Permanent
Start Date: ASAP / Jan

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Primary SEN Teacher to join a brand new Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) unit in Wythenshawe. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a newly established provision supporting pupils with autism and speech & language needs, including non‑verbal learners.

The Role
  • Plan and deliver highly tailored, engaging lessons to meet individual pupil needs
  • Support pupils with ASC and complex communication difficulties
  • Use a range of specialist strategies and approaches to promote learning, communication, and independence
  • Work closely with support staff, SEN professionals, and families
  • Create a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
  • Experience working with SEN pupils, particularly autism and speech & language needs – desirable
  • Strong understanding of differentiation and personalised learning
  • Patient, resilient, and passionate about inclusive education
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
