Overview

Long Term Futures are working in partnership with a fantastic primary school in the heart of Croydon to find a passionate and experienced Primary Teacher to join their team. This is a brilliant opportunity to become part of a welcoming school community dedicated to fostering a love of learning and helping every pupil reach their full potential.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective lessons across the National Curriculum.
  • Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of pupils.
  • Create a positive and well-managed classroom environment.
  • Contribute to the school's commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and colleagues regarding pupil progress and well-being.
  • Participate in wider school activities and professional development opportunities.
  • Provide a supportive, inclusive learning environment for all pupils.

This role is a long-term contract for the full academic year. We do not focus on daily or weekly supply roles, as our goal is to build strong, lasting relationships between schools and educators. Provided you are happy and succeed in the role, we would hope to progress the position to a permanent contract for you.

Key Requirements
  • You must hold a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) and have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Due to the specific needs of this role, we are unfortunately unable to consider candidates who are currently in their Early Career Teacher (ECT) years.
  • A minimum of one year of post-ECT teaching experience is essential.
