Pay: MPS (paid to scale)

About the Role

A well‑regarded Lambeth primary school close to Brixton Station is seeking a confident Primary Class Teacher to take responsibility for a Year 5 class from February. This is a full‑time maternity cover within a stable and supportive KS2 team. The class is settled and academically capable, with a strong focus on reading comprehension, writing stamina, and problem‑solving in maths. As the Primary Class Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging lessons, assess progress effectively, and prepare pupils for the transition into upper KS2.

The Ideal Candidate
  • Has recent KS2 teaching experience, ideally in Years 4–6
  • Maintains high expectations for behaviour and learning
  • Is confident with assessment, marking, and curriculum planning
  • Builds positive relationships with pupils and parents
  • Holds QTS and an Enhanced DBS (or is willing to apply)
