Department Description
The London Finance function comprises approximately 70 staff. The department is responsible for handling all financial matters in respect of the London Office and the co-ordination of financial affairs in the international offices.
The Pricing Analyst serves as a resource to Hogan Lovells lawyers, business services employees, and clients to retrieve, compile, and analyse data used for innovative fee arrangements and value-added services aimed at increasing cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
Role Overview
The Pricing Analyst serves as a resource to Hogan Lovells lawyers, business services employees, and clients to retrieve, compile, and analyse data used for innovative fee arrangements and value-added services aimed at increasing cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities
Support senior management in preparation of RFP responses and related analyses.
Work closely with colleagues in Business Development, Finance, and the partnership to develop solutions in response to client RFPs and Pricing requests.
Support senior management in preparation of excel models and charts associated with custom pricing studies and formal presentations.
Take ownership of Client RFP and Pricing projects, including related decision making and coordinating with colleagues in other functional departments.
Prepare and maintain rate schedules and related excel files.
Assemble data from multiple sources to develop and produce actionable reports.
Support operational leads by analysing business requirements and implementing solutions.
Participate in data maintenance and improvement initiatives.
Responsible for ad hoc analysis request for pricing team, internal clients and external clients.
Retrieve and analyse data using custom datasets and Analysis Services cube solutions.
Creatively solve problems while appropriately challenging assumptions and consistently providing a high-quality work product.
Participate in continual development and publication of thought leadership and service offerings.
Specific duties or responsibilities may be reviewed from time to time to reflect changes in personnel and management structure, staff location or services.

Person Specification
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum of two+ (2+) years related experience preferred, preferably in a professional services or corporate environment.
Knowledge of law firm Financial Management System, such as 3E.
Experience with dashboard and data visualization tools: SSRS, Crystal, Tableau, Power BI Suite.
Excel VBA, data modelling, and statistical modelling, regression, root cause analysis.
Knowledge of Legal Industry KPIs and competitive landscape.
Experience in Procurement or RFP response.
General Attributes

Ability to communicate effectively with lawyers, professional level business services employees and peers.
Strong organizational and management skills and an ability to prioritize and complete simultaneous projects with minimal supervision.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
