A notable heritage site in the UK is seeking a dedicated individual to help preserve important heritage collections and maintain the highest standards at the venue. Responsibilities include daily cleaning and care of collections, participating in deep cleaning and pest management tasks. Qualifications

  • You will be required to undertake a DBS check prior to appointment.

  • Being part of the Salvage Team for Longleat House and exhibitions.
  • Taking part in annual deep clean of rooms and stores.
  • Cleaning staff facilities such as offices and breakrooms.
  • Undertaking tasks as part of the integrated pest management programme.

Job description

Reporting to the Preventive Conservation Supervisor, you'll be responsible for preserving Longleat's important heritage collections and ensuring that Longleat House is presented to the highest possible standards. You will be responsible for the day-to-day cleaning and care of the collections and interiors of this incredible place.

Responsibilities
  • Maintaining the cleanliness including Vacuuming visitor route floors/carpets and dusting objects using appropriate equipment and techniques.
  • Being part of the Salvage Team for Longleat House, stores and exhibitions.
  • Taking part in annual deep clean of rooms, stores and exhibitions.
  • Cleaning staff facilities such as offices, breakrooms and toilets.
  • Undertaking tasks as part of Longleat House's integrated pest management programme.

You'll be employed on a permanent 40 hour contract, working 5 days out of 7, including weekends, evenings and bank holidays as required.
