Overview
Our client have a modern manufacturing facility based in Dudley. Due to a Toolmaker retiring they are now looking for an experienced Domestic Press Toolmaker to join the team.
Responsibilities
- Service & repair of multi-stage progression tools which includes assembly & dismantling of press tools to regrind parts / replace press tool punches, dies, springs etc.
- Manufacture new tooling parts using conventional tool room equipment such as Jones & Shipman 540 surface grinders, conventional miller, pedestal driller and centre lathe.
- Carrying out preventative die maintenance (PDM), production tooling problem solving.
- Contribute to the development of the tool room.
- Carry out precision grinding of small high precision parts using jigs & fixtures.
- Maintaining tooling spares.
Requirements / Qualifications
- The successful candidate must be enthusiastic, approachable and be receptive to instruction whilst remaining competent eventually being able to work on own their own initiative without the need for supervision.
- A crane & forklift licence is required but not essential on application as training will be provided.

- Shift Pattern: 39 Hours
- 10 minutes morning & afternoon break
- 30 minutes lunch
- Company contributed pension
- 07:00 - 15:30 - Monday to Thursday
- 07:00 - 14:30 - Friday
