The role involves setting Star CNC Lathe machinery, ensuring precision and quality in production. Ideal candidates will have prior experience as a Turning CNC Machinist, strong problem-solving abilities, and excellent attention to detail. Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Turning CNC Machinist is essential.
• Ideally Apprentice Trained with STAR experience.
• Good problem solving skills.
• Excellent Maths skills and use of measuring equipment is a must.
• Able to develop strong effective relationships with all departments.
• Excellent attention to detail and organised.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand engineering drawings & specifications to set CNC Turning Machines.
• Select and correctly fit tooling, jigs and fixtures.
• Set programs and adjust bar feeds.
• Adjust and tweak programs.
• Sign off 1st batch.
• Work alongside quality to ensure reduced waste.
• Ensure breakdowns are reported immediately to supervisors.
