Pre-registration Trainee Pharmacy Technician

Are you interested in becoming a Pharmacy Technician? We have an apprenticeship opportunity based at Fieldhead Hospital Pharmacy in Wakefield, with visits to sites in Barnsley, Dewsbury, Halifax and Huddersfield. The post is a 2-year fixed term Level 3 apprenticeship leading to registration as a Pharmacy Technician on successful completion.
Starting salary is NHS Band 3 equivalent £24,937 dependent on previous NHS service.
The post is suitable for candidates who can prove their right to work in the UK or via alternative visa routes. At the time of advertising, this role does not meet the UK Visas and Immigration minimum sponsorship requirements.
Training over a 2-year period covering inpatient and community mental health, learning disability and wellbeing services across Barnsley, Calderdale, Kirklees and Wakefield, with placements in an acute trust and community pharmacy. You will support the dispensary team at Fieldhead Hospital and Pharmacy teams across the Trust to provide services to in-patients, out-patients and clinics. After the first year you will provide a pharmacy service to ward environments with full training and support.
This is a full-time post with day release for college via blended learning during term time, and allocated study time in the workplace. You will become part of a friendly and professional Pharmacy Team supporting specialities in acute mental health, forensic and rehabilitation settings.
