We particularly welcome applicants who are respiratory trained or who have a keen interest in developing their respiratory nursing skills as part of their ongoing professional development.

About the Role

As a key member of our nursing team, you will provide high-quality, evidence-based care to patients across a wide range of clinical areas. This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same. You will work autonomously, while also collaborating with our GPs, ANPs, HCAs, and multidisciplinary colleagues to deliver safe, effective, and person-centred care.

Main duties of the job
  • Undertake patient consultations, including assessments and personalised care planning.
  • Support longterm condition management, with opportunities to develop or utilise respiratory expertise (e.g., asthma/COPD reviews).
  • Deliver immunisations, vaccinations, cervical screening, and opportunistic health promotion.
  • Embed population health management approaches and help reduce health inequalities.
  • Provide routine nursing care in line with NICE, NSF, and evidence-based guidelines.
  • Participate in clinical audits, research projects, and the development of clinical protocols.
  • Recognise professional boundaries and refer appropriately.
  • Support delivery of enhanced services and contribute to practice targets (including QOF).
  • Provide wound care, travel health advice, venepuncture, ECGs, and new patient medicals.
  • Maintain accurate SNOMED-coded clinical records.
  • Assist with complaints handling and learning from incidents.
  • Champion safeguarding responsibilities.
  • Lead public health campaigns (e.g., flu clinics).
  • Maintain a clean and safe clinical environment.
  • Chaperone patients and support with clinical emergencies when required.
  • Work collaboratively with external services to support vulnerable patients.

Additional duties may be required depending on workload and staffing needs.

About us

You will be part of a friendly, forward-thinking, and supportive practice that values teamwork, personal development, and highquality patient care. We actively support nurses wishing to expand their clinical skillset including those developing or specialising in respiratory longterm condition management.
