Overview

Practice Nurse – Locum Contract. Opportunity to work on a Locum contract, based across West Midlands. The role is based within a GP Practice with the aim of providing leadership to junior members of the Practice Nursing Team, in collaboration with the Nurse Lead and General Practitioners, to develop an effective, quality-driven Practice Nurse Service.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor junior members of the Practice Nursing Team in collaboration with the Nurse Lead and GPs.
• Develop and promote integrated nursing practice within the wider nursing team (Practice Nurses, District Nurses, Health Visitors) supported by evidence-based practice guidelines.
• Monitor key quality markers to ensure clinical effectiveness and adherence to guidelines.
• Attend to patients seeking care from a healthcare professional, assess continuing medical and nursing needs, and provide appropriate advice and care for booked, as well as potential extra or emergency visits.

Contract details

Locum Agency Contract: Monday to Friday.
