We are looking for a motivated and caring Practice Nurse to join our friendly GP surgery. The role includes managing long term conditions, treatment room duties, immunisations, cervical screening, wound care and supporting the wider clinical team. Experience in primary care is essential.
Main duties of the job
Chronic disease management (e.g., asthma, COPD, diabetes, hypertension)
Treatment room duties (wound care, ECGs, injections, Venepuncture)
Immunisations & vaccinations (adult and childhood)
Cervical cytology
Contraception Reviews
Supporting QOF and enhanced services
Health promotion and patient education
Requirements
- Registered General Nurse with current NMC registration
- Confident in IT systems and accurate record‑keeping
- Able to work independently and as part of a team

- Wound care and dressings
- Leg ulcer management
- ECGs, blood pressure checks, urine testing
- Venepuncture
- Administration of injections (e.g., B12, contraception, travel vaccines)

Person Specification
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse with valid NMC PIN
- Cervical screening qualification
- Chronic disease qualification desirable
Experience
- Experience in a primary care setting essential
- Experience in treatment room skills and patient assessments
