A healthcare provider in Wales is seeking a Powys CAMHS School In-Reach Practitioner for a 6-month fixed term role. This position involves collaborating with schools to promote emotional health and wellbeing among learners through training and support. Ideal candidates should have a registered healthcare profession, experience in delivering psychological interventions, and excellent communication skills. The role will contribute to the Powys CAMHS Service and requires substantial travel across Powys, fostering a collaborative environment for improving outcomes for children and young people.
This is a Fixed term/secondment post for 6 months to cover secondment.
The Powys CAMHS School In-Reach Service has been developed from Welsh Government direction to work in supporting schools to support learners through a Whole School Approach to emotional health and wellbeing. This Service contributes to the priorities set out in the Health and Care Strategy for Powys. Working in this team requires significant communication and liaison with internal and external stakeholders and schools, the ability to work collaboratively and in co-production with other services. The team is Pan-Powys and there will be a requirement to travel, with this position being based in North Powys. To contribute to the delivery of the Powys CAMHS School In-Reach Service, involving consultation, delivery of learning and training. This role involves immediate and partner team and multi-agency working.
Powys CAMHS School In-Reach Service is an early intervention Service withing CAMHS Services, aligning to the Mental Health Division Services and Priorities.
