A leading university in the UK is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Chemical Biology and Bioengineering. You will develop and apply novel platforms for studying chemical mechanisms in organ regeneration while managing your own research activities. A PhD in Chemistry or related field is required, along with interdisciplinary research experience. The position offers a unique opportunity to engage in impactful research within a collaborative environment in Oxford.
Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Chemical Biology and Bioengineering to work under the supervision of Professor Yimon Aye for a period of up to 12 months.
The project involves developing and applying a novel integrated platform to study the chemical molecular mechanisms and signalling consequences of reactive small-molecule metabolites in organ regeneration, leveraging state-of-the-art chemical biology tools and established tissue injury models, in particular the use of versatile regeneration-competent zebrafish models. This project is funded by the Academy of Medical Sciences (AMS).
The post will be based at the Chemistry Research Laboratory, 12 Mansfield Road, Oxford, OX1 3TA, and the Rodney Porter Building, Sibthorp Road, off South Parks Road, Oxford, OX1. The appointment is available from January 2026.
The project involves work with regenerative models and collaborative research under the guidance of Professor Yimon Aye.
