We have a developmental post for a Porter/Courier Services Coordinator, location TBC.This is a 37.5-hour post over 5days. Commencing on a band 4, the successful candidate will be moved to the band 5 pay grade on completion of a development plan.

A high profile and visible role, you will lead Porter/Courier Services to provide a comprehensive and professional NHS logistics service, to meet the needs of clinicians, infection control, and Estates and Facilities colleagues and, where necessary, the wider health economy, in accordance with schedules and procedures developed to support compliance to national standards, Legislation and Regulation.
You will work with teams to consistently meet this challenge on a day-to-day basis, as well as organise and monitor the delivery of the service it meets the need of the service, whilst ensuring effective engagement when dealing with others external to the Trust. You will also actively contribute to projects and lead on delegated ad-hoc duties as required.
Duties will include administrative tasks involved with staff records, including managing all departmental active documentation across multiple sites, operational and business reporting, Key Performance Indicator (KPI), ensuring staff records are consistently maintained in accordance with Trust Policy, to include timesheets, absence, appraisals, training and meeting records, ordering goods and consumables, and completion of vehicle audits and other assets used within the team. You will also be required to carry out local induction and training programmes for staff as necessary.
You will receive full support, training, and guidance to enable you to fulfil the role and undertake the duties.
