Role Location: Friars Bridge Court, 41‑43 Blackfriars Road, London SE1 8NZ.

Responsibilities

• Take delivery of medical gas cylinders, move them to the allocated usage area and connect to pipelines.
• Disconnect empty cylinders and move them to designated locked storage for collection.
• Receive and acknowledge deliveries of pathology‑related goods and distribute them to the relevant laboratories as required.
• Replenish stock in laboratory cold and ambient stores and working areas as necessary.
• Monitor stock levels of consumables and inform relevant managers if reordering is required.
• Escalate any issues encountered to the Soft Service Supervisor without delay.
• Work alongside the cleaning team to ensure dirty laboratory coats are prepared for collection at agreed intervals and that clean coats are placed in the correct storage areas.
• Use the site CAFM system to raise, progress and complete work tasks.
• Ensure health & safety procedures are always followed, including manual handling and wearing the correct PPE, site‑specific uniform and suitable footwear.
• Complete statutory tasks and IT‑related training.
• Report near‑misses / good catches in line with Integral good practice.
• Proactively work toward the continued success and support of the contract with a positive approach.
• Complete any other associated tasks requested by the management team, including taking an active role in team meetings and activities.
