Overview
We are looking for hard working, reliable and flexible individuals to work as a member of the Facilities Team. This role is patient facing and involves a wide range of Portering duties as part of a 24hr/365 days a year service.
Responsibilities
- Carry out a range of Portering duties and associated tasks to meet the needs of the department.
- Shift pattern includes earlies, lates, nights, weekends and bank holidays on a set roster; enhancements paid for lates, weekends, nights and bank holidays.
- Sorting, delivery and collection of mail in the post room; transfer of patients; movement of equipment and furniture; handling of linen, medical records and drugs.
- Full training will be provided.
- Full driving licence essential, including the ability to drive vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes.
- Please note the role is patient facing and requires initiative, awareness and good customer service skills.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Flexible approach to working hours, ability to work as part of a team including nights, weekends and Bank Holidays.
- Full driving licence with rights to drive up to 3.5 tonne vehicles.
