Overview

Join our team as a Police Custody SARC Paramedic at the Sexual Assault Referral Centre in Grantham, UK, where you can earn between £150-£200. This role is predominantly for 12-hour weekday nights (7pm-7am) and weekend shifts (days from 7am-7pm and nights from 7pm-7am), with occasional weekday requirements. This is a locum position offering flexibility and diversity in your career.

Responsibilities
  • Respond to call-outs within a 60-minute timeframe, demonstrating swift and effective judgement.
  • Conduct thorough clinical assessments of individuals in custody and at the Sexual Assault Referral Centre.
  • Provide medical and emotional support to individuals who have experienced sexual assault, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Perform forensic examinations and ensure the accurate documentation and handling of samples.
  • Work collaboratively with law enforcement and other multidisciplinary teams to provide coordinated care.
  • Maintain up-to-date records and reports, adhering to the highest standards of confidentiality and integrity.
Requirements
  • Completed ILS training (Resus Council), venepuncture proficiency, and safeguarding adults & children level 3.
  • Possession of SARC qualification is essential.
  • Paramedics and nurses must have at least 2 years post-qualification experience, ideally with a background in prison, A&E, surgical, community, or district nursing to ensure competent clinical decision-making.
  • Highly desirable to have current or recent police vetting (NPPV Level 2), although experienced staff can be put through the vetting process if required.
