Purpose of the role:

As a PMO Analyst (Workstream - Governance), you will be embedded within designated workstreams of a transformative IT programme, acting as an extended arm of the Portfolio, Program, and Project Management Office (PPMO). You will support governance, reporting, standards, and benefits management, ensuring delivery aligns with strategic objectives, timelines, and value realisation.

What you'll do:
  • Organize and maintain governance processes for the assigned workstreams.
  • Prepare and deliver state reporting, including roadmap updates.
  • Support portfolio-level planning and ensure alignment between workstream delivery and portfolio strategy.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to maintain delivery standards, timelines and focus on benefits and value realisation.
  • Track, report, and support the management of benefits and value delivered by the workstream, including both financial and non-financial outcomes.
  • Provide insights and basic reporting to inform workstream decision-making.
  • Actively contribute to the development and continuous improvement of PPMO processes and capabilities, supporting colleagues and sharing knowledge across the team.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and a collaborative approach by assisting with tasks outside your immediate remit when required, helping to ensure the resilience and effectiveness of the team.
The skills you'll need:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret performance and benefits data.
  • Proficiency in Excel and experience with Power BI or similar reporting tools.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills for preparing reports and coordinating actions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across internal teams and with external suppliers.
  • Relevant experience working within a large, complex PMO or portfolio management environment.
  • Experience in large, complex transformation programs.
  • Experience in reporting, generating insights, and supporting delivery and benefits realisation within large, complex portfolios.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing priorities within a PMO setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, support team members, and contribute to a positive team culture.
