Job summary

PMLD LSA - College - Poole, Dorset.

SENCare Recruitment are currently working on behalf of a college, that is seeking experienced teaching assistants to support young adults who have autism, mild and profound needs and SEMH.

Start: ASAP

Duration: 5 days a week - ongoing.

Hours: 8.30am - 4.30pm

Key Responsibilities and Requirements
  • At least 6 months experience supporting students with autism, social emotional mental health difficulties, and some profound needs.
  • Experience supporting students aged 16-25.
  • Provide personal care.
  • Able to follow students ECHPs.
  • Experienced with ASD, PMLD, SEMH, trauma, sensory processing, and social communication teaching background.
  • Have a strong ability to build meaningful relationships with vulnerable students.
  • Have a clear DBS registered to the update service – child and adult checked.
