Job description

Job Overview

Mainly your job will be community based and taking me out to various activities in the local community.

Core Requirements

By the nature of the role, the candidate should be motivated, dependable, friendly, adaptive, and able to remain calm when my behaviour becomes difficult. The candidate should also have a general understanding of learning disability and be willing to learn more if required.

A car driver and owner is essential.

Working Hours

6 hours on Thursday, Friday and Saturday 10am to 4pm. You may be required to cover additional shifts on occasion.

Pay & Benefits

£13.00 per hour plus mileage when using own vehicle. Wages will be paid on a two‑weekly basis and appropriate holiday pay will be provided.

Legal & Checks

Position is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS Disclosure (Police Check), which must be completed prior to the commencement of employment. The cost of this check will be covered by the Local Authority. All necessary checks will be conducted to verify that any candidate has the legal right to work in the UK before employment begins. Although this is a part‑time role, it is a legitimate position requiring the submission of a National Insurance number. Employment will commence under an initial trial period.
