Job summary

A leading recruitment agency seeks a Plumber's Mate to assist in caravan manufacturing. Job description

Job Title: Plumber's Mate (Caravan Manufacturing)

Pay Rate: £12.21 per hour

Location: HU7

Working Hours: Monday - Thursday, 7:30 AM to 5:45 PM

Key Responsibilities

Assisting with Installation & Assembly:

• Support plumbers with fitting fresh water and waste systems in caravans.
• Help install sinks, showers, toilets, and basic plumbing fixtures.
• Assist with routing, cutting, and securing piping (PEX, PVC, copper) under supervision.

Testing & Quality Support:

• Help carry out basic leak checks and report issues to the lead plumber.
• Support quality inspections by preparing materials and equipment.

General Site Support:

• Work alongside plumbers, electricians, and joiners to ensure smooth workflow.
• Follow instructions from qualified plumbers and team leaders.
• Prepare tools, materials, and work areas for daily tasks.

Health & Safety:

• Follow all site safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Keep work areas clean, safe, and well‑organised.

Documentation & Reporting:

• Report defects, material shortages, or issues to supervisors.
• Assist with simple record‑keeping where required (e.g. noting completed tasks).
