Overview

Build Recruitment is working closely with a respected and well‑established Housing Association to recruit an experienced Plumber/Multi‑Trader to join their reactive maintenance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled tradesperson looking for long‑term stability, a supportive employer, and consistent work within social housing.

You will be carrying out a variety of plumbing and multi‑trade repairs within void and tenanted social housing properties across Crawley, Horsham, Croydon, and the surrounding South London areas. This temp‑to‑perm role offers genuine progression and job security.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out plumbing repairs, maintenance, and installations in void and occupied social housing properties
• Diagnose and complete reactive repairs efficiently and to a high standard
• Work on disrepair cases, ensuring all work meets compliance and safety standards
• Undertake basic multi‑trade tasks (e.g. carpentry, minor plastering, tiling, patch repairs) where required
• Deliver high‑quality customer service to residents, ensuring clear communication and professionalism
• Maintain timely and accurate job records using handheld devices
• Adhere to all health & safety guidelines and property maintenance procedures

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience as a Plumber Multi‑Trader within social housing or property maintenance
• Experience handling complex repairs or disrepair cases (desirable)
• Ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and deliver first‑time fixes
• Full UK driving licence
• Strong communication and customer‑facing skills
