Plasma Welder
Temporary ongoing assignment
Leamington Spa

  • Days - £14.43 per hour
  • Early and Late shifts - £15.89 per hour

Shifts

  • Days - 07.00-16.00 Mon-Thurs and 07.00-12.00 on Friday (30-minute break)
  • Shifts - 06.00-14.00 Monday to Thursday and 06.00-13.00 on Friday and 14.00-22.00 Monday to Thursday and 13.00-20.00 on Friday (20 minutes break). Rotating fortnightly.

39 hrs per week + possible overtime

Our client is a leading international manufacturing company based in Leamington Spa. They are looking for a Plasma Welder to join their existing team on a temporary ongoing basis.

The Plasma Welder will be responsible for performing high-quality welding, cutting, and fabrication using plasma arc equipment. This role requires precision, technical expertise, and strict adherence to safety standards to ensure strong, clean welds and high-quality finished products.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Operate plasma welding and cutting equipment for fabrication, repair, and production tasks.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols.
  • Prepare and align metal components prior to welding.
  • Inspect and test welded surfaces and structures for strength, accuracy, and quality.
  • Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on plasma welding equipment.
  • Follow safety procedures, including the use of PPE, fire prevention, and ventilation standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
  • Collaborate with other fabricators, engineers, and supervisors to ensure project deadlines are met.
The Ideal Plasma Welder
  • Proven experience as a plasma welder or in a similar welding/fabrication role.
  • Strong knowledge of welding techniques, materials, and equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and welding specifications.
  • Proficiency in handling measuring tools and inspection equipment.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
