Job description

Our client is looking for a Planning Development Manager to lead their DM team. The are offering a 3-6 month contract and will require you in the office 2 days per week.

Based in Essex, they have a number of long term development goals including town centre regen projects and the development of a garden town which will see in excess of 19,000 new housing units built over the next couple of years.

We are looking for an established DM Manager with the ability to lead a team of Principal, Senior and Planning officers processing planning applications. You will also oversee the enforcement function.

As manager of the team you will ensure that the statutory planning development management services are high performing. You will play a key role in representing the Council at meetings and you will act as a key point of contact for stakeholder engagement.

The pay rate is £65/hr (umbrella).
