2026- Planning Apprenticeship

Role Overview

As a trainee planner, you will work with a project planner to provide construction planning support. This role will have a high degree of learning as you hone your planning and interpersonal skills.

Key Deliverables and Accountabilities
  • Initially produce detailed projectprogrammeswithassistancefrom the Project Planner and members of the project team
  • Become competent in producingprogramesunaided across all elements of a project including design, procurement,constructionand commissioning phases.
  • Develop an understanding of construction delivery techniques and methodologies.
  • Liaise with the project teams to capture / collate weekly project progress, marking up charts and drawings as necessary with as built information to support the communication of project progress within the project team.
  • Communicate with internal departments to give and receive information.
  • Collate production output m/wkor m/man pertechnique .
  • Become conversant in the use of Planning Project Management software packages, such as Primavera P6,AstaPowerproject and Synchro.
  • Assistin the development of theprojectspecific planning and production control systems.
  • Assistin the production of detailedschedulesitemisingkey logistical constraints.
  • Assistin the development of design information release and material delivery schedules to site.
  • Assistin producing project progress reports.

Entryrequirements
  • SQA Highers at ABBB or equivalent;
  • A-Levels at ABC or BBB;
  • Scottish Baccalaureate Pass;
  • Int. Baccalaureate 29 points.
  • Foundation Apprenticeship in Civil Engineering in conjunction with SQA Highers at AAB.
  • A combination of qualifications totalling 96 SCQF credits at level 6, or Minimum 126 UCAS points
  • You must be eligible to work in the UK. This role is noteligiblefor sponsorship

    Our in-person assessmentcentres, held at a LOR office,provide an opportunity for youtodemonstrateyour skills through a combination of individual tasks, short interviews, and group activities. This is also a chance to experience our culture first-hand.
  • Outcome
    We aim to provide feedback and communicate the outcome of your assessmentcentrewithin two weeks.
