Job summary

A leading engineering firm in the United Kingdom is searching for an experienced Senior / Principal Piping Stress Engineer to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will take on critical responsibilities such as performing piping stress analysis, selecting pipe supports, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams on complex projects. Ideal candidates will have expertise in Caesar II, knowledge of relevant engineering codes, and a degree in Engineering or equivalent experience. Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in a related field is highly preferred.
  • Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Identify stress-critical lines and review P&IDs and line lists.
  • Perform piping stress analysis and flexibility studies (static & dynamic).
  • Select pipe supports based on analysis and thermal expansion considerations.
  • Review and sign-off piping isometrics and 3D models.
  • Prepare and approve technical documentation, stress reports, and specifications.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and attend client meetings.

Skills

Proficiency in Caesar II
Knowledge of ASME B31.3
Knowledge of BS EN 13480

Education

Degree in Engineering or 10+ years equivalent experience
