A medical practice in Swanley is seeking a Physician Associate to join its dedicated team. Swanley Medical Practice is looking for an additional PhysicianAssociate to work alongside its existing 5 PAs and the wider clinical team.
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and highlymotivated PA to join our well-established, friendly and high achieving GMSpractice in Swanley to deliver excellent service to our patients
To provide care for patients through clinical assessment,examination, investigation, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of care.
To review, analyse and action diagnostic test results.
Provide health/disease promotion and prevention advice topatients.
To deliver a high standard of patient care using in depththeoretical knowledge under the supervision of a GP. Utilise clinicalguidelines and promote evidence-based practice, participate in clinical audits,significant event reviews and other research and analysis tasks.
Good working relationship with named clinical supervisor and worktogether to provide high standards of holistic care for patients.
We have a friendly and supportive mix of Partners, SalariedDoctors, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Physician Associates, ClinicalPharmacists, Practice Nurses, Phlebotomists and HCAs looking after over 25,000patients backed up by a supportive Reception and Administration team.
We are a high achieving, training practice with a GOOD CQC rating.We are a GP-led, patient centred surgery with emphasis on innovation andnurturing talent, we encourage and support training in all areas.
Currently all our PAs have specialised responsibilities or areworking towards this for example Clinical QOF, safeguarding, care homes,ADHD/ASD, gynaecology, CVD prevent.
Swanley has easy access to the A2 and the M25, M20 and A20 viaJunction 3 of the M25. Swanley Train Station is a 10 minute walk from thepractice.
Ensure continuing education, training and development isundertaken to meet clinical governance guidelines for Continuing ProfessionalDevelopment and a Personal Development Plan. To maintain and developprofessional competence and expertise, keep up to date with medical/therapeuticevidence and opinion, relevant medical research and local and national service,legislation and policy developments, technology and evidence based medicalpractice by attending continuing education courses and professional meetings,reading journals e.t.c
Perform a variety of research and analysis tasks associated withimprovement of clinical care, medical diagnosis and treatment where appropriateusing the following means:
Audit of clinical practice, review of relevant literature,research unusual symptoms and treatment options through consultation withphysicians and other medical specialists.
Attend regular multi-disciplinary meetings organised by thePractice in order to discuss the health and social needs of particular patients,to discuss and learn from recent significant events relating to the clinicalpractice occurring within the Practice.
Attend regular educational meetings organised by the practice inorder to update clinical knowledge, practice policy and guidelines anddisseminate other useful information relevant to the provision of adequatehealthcare for patients.
Regularly reflect on own practice (and keep a record of learningencounters) in order to identify learning needs and encourage self-directedlifelong learning and continued professional development.
Show a caring attitude towards patients, have well-developedcommunication skills to provide treatment plans. And work to their professionalcode of ethics.
Work to deliver with other members of the practice and PrimaryHealthcare Team, the objectives of the PCN GP contract, including the terms ofthe Quality and Outcomes Framework and Practice Based Commissioning.
