Coventry and Warwickshire Pathology Services provides phlebotomy services at six main sites: University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust in Coventry and in Rugby, City of Coventry Health Centre in Coventry, George Eliot Hospital in Nuneaton and South Warwick Foundation Trust in Warwick with out‑patient and in‑patient services. A number of Community Clinics, GP Clinics and domiciliary services are also supported, covering Coventry, Warwickshire, Leicestershire and Birmingham.
Perform phlebotomy and support other staff of a team whilst providing optimum patient care. To deputise for the phlebotomy supervisor in their absence and carry out duties deemed reasonable by the phlebotomy manager.
We are looking for keen and enthusiastic individuals who can bring forward‑thinking ideas to our very busy department. The role will require a full UK driving licence and car as you may be asked to transport items to other sites, although a main "base" site will be identified.
The successful applicants will be required to provide an immunisation and vaccination report, from either their current UK occupational health provider or their UK GP.
We are currently looking for a Phlebotomy Team Leader to work at UHCW. We are looking to increase access to our services for patients, and are therefore looking to introduce both in‑patient and out‑patient services across seven days. Applicants will be expected to work shift patterns to support these services going forwards, including early, late, weekend and bank holiday shifts.
